Event Details

DePaul University College of Law is dedicated to providing legal services to indigent individuals and disadvantaged communities, and the auction is one way the College of Law facilitates such work.

Auction proceeds are used to fund summer fellowships for students pursuing legal careers that benefit indigent individuals and disadvantaged communities. These fellowships enable law students to accent unpaid internships with legal aid and public sector organizations that serve the community. The internships in turn, provide unparalleled legal experience.

Public Interest Law Association

PILA seeks to communicate to law students the needs of underrepresented populations in the legal system, and the ways legal training can be used to effect justice in our community and the world. PILA provides law students with networking opportunities in the area of public interest law and serves as a conduit for law students to learn about different areas of public interest law. PILA raises money for summer stipends, which it awards to students who work pro bono in the public interest area.
